Young Croydon Composers - 2018 (YCC-18) celebrates Croydon's multiculturalism through youth in the borough. Western music students of Croydon Music & Arts (CMA), Indian classical students of Sangeetha & urban music youth of Music Relief(MR) were led & mentored by award winning composer / producer / musician Shri Sriram. Through guided workshops & rehearsals, students learnt about each other’s culture, composition, contribute ideas & rehearse. YCC performed three new cross-cultural compositions & ‘Get Up’, a song about non-violence, alongside ACE funded Croydon Composers 2018 (CC2018) performers at Boxpark, Croydon & on their own at The Front Room. Michael Fuller educated the students on monetising music as a musician.
